Never turned a knob from the second the amp got flipped on. Every knob was pretty much straight up. I walked into the control room after the first take and the one, the only producer/guitarist extraordinaire Dann Huff said "What amp are you using? Scotti Clifford & Spirits Cry are a Native Americana Rock n Roll Trio formed in the Badlands of South Dakota in 2018. Inspired lyrically by their Oglala-Lakota / Cheyenne ancestry, the band is sonically rooted in blues and indie rock. Scotti Clifford and Spirits Cry consist of members; Scotti Clifford, vocals/guitar/bass, Wahpe Louella Clifford on drums, and guitarist Welby June Clifford. Scotti is the father of daughter Wahpe (17) and son Welby (19). Scotti Clifford and Spirits Cry have recently toured across the United States opening for the band Dispatch and Nahko & Medicine for the People at such venues as Stubb’s in Austin TX, and The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles CA. And most recently have shared the stage with Dave Matthews. "As a Lakota/Cheyenne Recording Artist, I believe that touring across the country symbolizes a traditional buffalo hunt.
