This is the new SB112 neodymium bass cabinet. It has the new Eminence NEO 12 which is lighter than regular ferrite magnet speakers...the whole cab only weighs 39 lbs. The cast frame American made Eminence Neo 12 has lots of great lows but still offer tons of mid punch. The Foster compression horn tweeter offers great top end for that pop and snap.
Eminence now makes custom LF versions of their Neo deltalite2 12 inch Neo just for Avatar so our new SB112 goes even lower in frequency response than the previous Neo 12's. The new custom Neo 12 LF's have a longer cone travel (Xmax) than the stock Eminence model. (just like we did with the deltalite tens for our highly rated B210/B410 models)Super Low End!
The cab is made from 18mm 13 PLY voidless Baltic Birch plywood with rabbet and dado interlocking side joints for extreme strength. The cab uses the new full 12 db mylar crossover network for both the tweeter and bass speaker sections for a more accurate response and for better power handling. The enclosure is covered in black carpet, has protective corners, large recessed bar handles. The rear steel input panel has a SPEAKON connector and dual 1/4" in/out jacks (for daisy chaining with other speaker cabs) with adjustable tweeter volume control. The 12 inch bass speaker and tweeter are protected by a full face steel diamond pattern expanded metal grill. It is Front ported. This SB112 cab mates up beautifully with the other Avatar B210/B410/B212 cabs. Dimensions 17 3/4"H X 24.5"W X 16.5"D.
